So certain people really get to me sometimes! Here is my top 3. People who are not professional, people who can not make decisions and people who feel they are more important.
First: People who are not professional; these are the people who cause us all trouble at work; these are the people who make the rest of us do everyone else's job. In Early Education our job's are hard enough for little pay and over regulation we fight not to be seen as babysitter but as professionals then we have those who we work with who are not professional and that makes it even harder. These are those who refuse to be team players, those who think certain aspects of the job are above them, those who are the gossip mongers, and those who would walk away from a classroom of children to get back at co workers. Why do you even work in this field anyway? Early education is only for those who have a passion for children and families there is no money in it. The only reward we get is from the kids and co workers so be a professional or find another field to work in!
Second: people who want the others to make the choices or decisions for them, these are people who want to take no responsibility for actions, this way if something can or should go wrong they can say, it wasn't my choice, or I didn't do it. These people boggle me! Life is full of choices daily; hate the fact that I always seems to be making choices, when I ask for a choice from someone it really means i'm feed up you make the call can I make the decision absolutely but why no one else seems to want to anymore really bothers me. I think this goes for American in general as well. It is much easier to sit back and watch then to stand up and do something. At what point is the shift going to take place at what point is society or your breaking point?
Last: people who think they are more important than you; everyone knows these people, these are the people who cut in front of you in the store, cut into the median on the highway during a traffic jam, interrupt your conversation with your boss, etc, etc. Why? Why is anyone's time more valuable than anyone else's There are only 24 hours in a day for anyone that includes homeless, those who are rich, my time is just a valuable as anyone's and should be respected as such.
Bottom line I think all of this comes back to respect basic respect what happened to it? Where did it go?
