Goodbye, you are missed!
So with much sadness I learned that one of my childhood teachers died. It made me think of all the countless times I spent in her class square dancing as she was the music teacher. I remember the concerts and her smile. I am very lucky to have know Mrs. Drury! So Today’s Blog is about teachers. I am thinking of changing careers and fields, Education is seeing so many changes, budgets cuts and other sweeping changes I’m not sure I want to be in this field anymore; if I do or not I still want to say thanks to all the teachers who have ever worked for me, I also want to say thanks to certain teachers in my life. Mrs. Anderson from 1st grade who sat me next to Victoria who I already kind of knew but that helped solidify our lifelong friendship; Ms.Parzz from 2nd grade who made me realize that individuality is okay. From 3rd grade Mrs. Hutka her love of books and listening to her read to the class helped with my love of books. Also from Elementary school Mrs. Ermal and her love of holidays. Jr. High and Mr. Muirro was my favorite because he really understood the material and was willing to hear new ideas and viewpoints and frankly mine were sometimes outside the box. Transferring schools in High school was hard however Mr.McIntire made it all worthwhile, he took and interest in me and helped me out without him, I really wonder if I would have even gradated! In College I had three VERY special Professors who made me want to teach college Michelle Bender, Delores McGorge and Chris Rudnick to all of these teacher plus so many others Thank you!!! Mrs. Drury, Goodbye, you are missed!!!
