Migraines!

I have to say I am so tired of headaches. They were going away and I didn't have any for a long time then the last week I've had one everyday! For those of you who think a headache and a migraine are the same just don't understand. My neck hurts, it hurts to see light, I curl up under my covers and basically hide until it goes away which today thankfully I was able to not work part of the day and deal with it but somedays I can not and I have to work. There are so many "cures" about migraines going around but truthfully no one really knows what causes them or why some last all day and others go away within an hour. I take medicine to prevent them and so far that has been the best defense against them the other side is that the medication has side effects and is expensive. If I miss 1 dose it effects my hormones and makes me grumpy! The cost is over $300 for the prescription and thankfully that's 3 months. No generic so insurance doesn't cover it. I've tried other medications but this is the best one and the only one I have found to work. For all those who suffer with them, know you are not alone but you can get through the day and it doesn't mean your a lesser person and you don't have to give up your life for them. Myself I'm ready for a cure!
